Vehicle Targeting & Security Measures

Good Afternoon Residents,

We want to make you aware that there have recently been a number of incidents on First Avenue involving attempts to remove parts from the front of parked vehicles, particularly Volkswagens. These incidents typically involve thieves targeting the front badge area to access the safety sensor located behind it. 

As well as increased Police presence, we will be arranging a rapid deployment camera to be installed on the street. This will allow for improved monitoring and will support both prevention and evidence gathering. The camera will be positioned to cover the affected area and will remain in place while the issue is ongoing.
